Holiday Cards are Ordered!

I've been a huge fan of Shutterfly for years. We store all our family photos on a share site and they always produce great product. We decided to go with a New Years card this year...partially because we're a little behind on the whole Christmas Card thing. Shutterfly has some great cards...check them out if you are still in need of ordering some of your own!

Make a Splash Treasury

One of my items was featured this week in a treasury on etsy. The treasury is called "Make a Splash." I am a sucker for anything sea, water, nautical, coastal...you get the picture. So I had to share all these fabulous items in this treasury!

Friday Finds: Mom Organizers

How do you keep organized? Blackberry? iPhone? Organizer?

I'm all for technology...but one thing that I've always preferred is old fashioned pen and paper for keeping my life organized. My "day job" as a Project Manager...my (work) calendar is kept up through Outlook. I have to track every minute of my day for billing. The rest of my life...soccer practice...when the hubster travels...what's for dinner...and when and what I'm planning on posting on SandyChic..that all goes in my agenda.

Several years ago I was browsing the holiday gift idea issue of one of my fav mags...Real Simple. There was a suggestion for a product called MomAgenda. So, I had to get one for myself. I instantly loved it!

Earlier this year I tried a new agenda that was a little bit more affordable from a company called whomi.com. Thier whomi clarity agendas were pretty cool. Many of the things I loved about the MomAgenda were also in the whomi charity agenda.

Both agendas have some great features:
  • Weekly Views in both the original size whomi clarity agenda & Momagenda Desktop give you an areal for your agenda + space for several children so you can see your family's complete schedule.
  • The Mom agenda has several different sizes with different features...from the desktop to the mini daily (which gives you seperate pages for each day). They also have a "myagenda" for those people who may not want the momagenda but still have the features that the product provides.
  • The size of the whomi was great for putting in a purse. it's longer but shorter.
  • The momagenda has sleek cover colors and the option to monogram the front with your name.
  • The whomi is covered in vinyl (which is nice if you have kids) and some great patterns.
  • The momagenda desktop is priced at around $43. The whomi original size clarity agenda is priced around $30.

Friday Finds: Pumpkin Stands

I have to admit...I've never seen "Pumpkin Stands" before. They're so cute!

I found both of these adorable pumpkin stands at Wrapables.com. They have some really cute items. The two above pumpkin stands are on sale!

Large Bat Pumpkin Stand: $19.95   $14.99
Small Bat Pumpkin Stand: $9.95   $6.99
Large Spider Pumpkin Stand: $24.95   $19.99
Small Spider Pumpkin Stand: $6.95  $4.99

I love the fact that the Spider Pumpkin Stand actually lifts the pumpkin off the ground. We still have lots of ants out here in good ol' TX and anything to keep the bugs away and the ground clear is a fine idea in my book!

Showing off your Child's Artwork

Good Morning All!

I'm back from the visit with family. It was nice being along the coast again and seeing everyone we love!

I ran across a cool area of Martha Stewart's website where you can upload your child's artwork. It's called Your Kids Crafts. Pretty neat area. There sure are some original and creative kids out there who stretch their imagination. (Some of these I wonder if the parents "helped" but all in all a cute and unique way to show off your child's love for creativity!

I also found a couple of adorable ideas on etsy for those who want to showcase their child (or grandchild's) art work in your home:

Etsy Seller fantabbulousdesigns creates custom art display boards. Super adorable with your child(ren)'s names displayed.

Another adorable idea is from etsy seller dillybags. It's a custom handstamped copper art exhibit clip. It has beautiful beads and makes a unique and beautiful way to hang your loved ones art. The seller will hand stamp your name (or Grandma's) right below the star!

Check out these unique display ideas. Do you have any interesting ways of displaying your children's art projects?
