Two Year Anniversary of SandyChic

Today is the 2 year anniversary of my little etsy shop - SandyChic

It has been a fun experience. I have helped some folks with the rehearsal dinner decor...some with their wedding decor...and another with a baby shower. I don't always have items listed as this has been mainly for fun. But I am going to try, in 2012, to keep the store up to date and active.

I've listed some new items! Check them out if interested!
Tumbled Marble Coasters - Black Damask
Tumbled Marble Coasters - Coral Poppies
Twine Wrapped Bottle - Jute Twine on Red Bottle
Full store can be found here.

Thanks for all your support! Here's to a fabulous 2012!

Make a Splash Treasury

One of my items was featured this week in a treasury on etsy. The treasury is called "Make a Splash." I am a sucker for anything sea, water, nautical, coastal...you get the picture. So I had to share all these fabulous items in this treasury!

Also some more dyed clothespins to hang memorable photos or decoratively organize life and more cute wooden decorated tags....
Take a look if interested...."Like" your favorite one to share with your friends on facebook :) Thanks!

Craft Idea: Easy and Simple Wallet

Yesterday Etsy Labs hosted a craft session with easy instructions for a simple wallet or business card holder. Seriously - watch the video below, it's 10 minutes. It will give you everything you need to do it yourself. Super easy...even for someone as inexperienced as me at sewing.

Here are a few photos of my finished product - please excuse the poor quality photos...they were taken with my phone:

Note...my pinky shadow

The little wallet fits business cards PERFECTLY!

I added a fun stripe of fabric to my first one to give it a pop of color
Check out the Etsy Video below for the quick and easy tutorial. If you make one and have a blog or photo sharing site - post a picture of your creation on your blog/site and then post a comment here with the link - I'd love to see what you create!

Open for Business

I've re-opened my Etsy shop. I expect to keep the shop open until my knee surgery this summer, then we'll close for a few months during my rehab. In the meantime, happy shopping!
