Halloween Decorations: Pennant Banners

I am a magazine freak. I love Real Simple, Coastal Living and seasonal publications with DIY and craft ideas are some of my favs. While at Lowe's I picked up a fabulous magazine I recommend any of you crafty folks pick up. Woman's Day published a special Budget Celebration's magazine with all kinds of great craft, recipe and entertaining ideas for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. The magazine comes with how-to instructions and even patterns you can use.

There was one that stood out for me...It was an idea for decorating your door step for Halloween using cut out Bats, pumpkins and an adorable Halloween themed pennant.

I'm in the process of making some of these for our front door area. It's still warm and humid with quite a few rain showers - so I'm using Halloween vinyl table cloths with a flannel-like backing to add weight to the pennant flags. I'll post photos once it's done. Check out the instructions on the Woman's Day site by clicking HERE. They are super easy instructions and there is no requirement to use a sewing machine!

How are you going to decorate for Halloween this year?
