| The Beach on Hilton Head Island |
We had lunch at a place close to the beach then headed in to Charleston. We started off by exploring the Market area in downtown/historic Charleston.
They had all kinds of vendors ranging from the cheap and typical tourist t-shirts that the folks coming off the cruise ships will eat up...to artisans making beautiful peaces of work. My mom loved the sweetgrass baskets. They were beautiful (and very pricey).
We passed by some beautiful and historic churches and cemeteries. There were quite a few Episcopal Churches.
We had dinner at the famous Poogan's Porch. The biscuits were so good - I probably could have just eaten those!
It was a nice way for mom and I to end our trip together - a good dinner, with great company, and a wonderful talk.
