Franken-knee

Yesterday was my first dr appointment after my surgery. I was SO nervous. Was I doing everything I needed to do? Was it too swollen? Healing good?

Everything looked good - well as good as it was going to! I lovingly referred to my knee as Franken-knee after seeing it without the bandages and with the staples...ick!

They took the staples out and taped it all up.

I start physical therapy on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to getting stronger, getting a better range of motion...but also very scared. It still hurts...still weak. I know a lot of this is a big head game - and I need to keep my head in it and stay on top of my exercises at PT as well as my home exercises.

Rob goes back to work tomorrow...so B and I are on our own! I am  sure we'll be ok. I just may be a bit on the slllooww side. I have a few projects I need to keep going on. One of them is a cathedral window quilt. My first. So I picked up some fabrics that seem like they'd work. I'll write more on that soon!

Your knee looks good! You can do it Steph! We both know it won't be easy, but the end result will be worth it. And I can't wait to see this quilt! I've never heard of a cathedral quilt...I leave the quilts to my MIL. :)
