The End of 3rd Grade

My little guy is no longer a 3rd grader. Every year I am astonished at how quickly the year went by and how fast this little guy is growing up.

This year was a great year for Brad. He excelled at school, made lots of great friends and overall was a happy boy. It helps when he really likes his teacher too. Here are a few highlights...

Volcano Day: Brad and Rob made a Dr Pepper Volcano. Each kid who did a volcano was able to bring it to school and test it out for everyone to see. Brad's volcano shot up the highest!

Children's Museum Field Trip:  Brad's class also got to go to the Austin Children's Museum. Before heading to the museum the kids got to stop off at the Capital grounds, have lunch and run around a bit.

Awards: Brad received an award at every awards assembly. This showed how hard he tried in school and how proud he was of his accomplishments of not missing a day of school (except for one grading period - where he didn't get that award). He did awesome in school and even was rated "Commended" on his TAKS test (scored 100% on his Math TAKS!)

Friends: Some of the friends Brad has maintained and made this year have been great. They've been there for him when he's had a hard time. They're all supportive of each other. It's cute to see a group of 3rd graders give each other "guy hugs."

We're so proud of our new 4th grader! We hope next year is even better!
