Double-Header

This weekend we had a double header for soccer games. Saturday we played at Westlake High School and Sunday at Town & Country.

Brad started out at Goal Keeper (GK) on Saturday's game...like usual. Almost immediately, a penalty was called inside our goal box which lead to a penalty kick against Brad.

Luckily it didn't go in! WHEW!

Brad had a great game saving every goal that was shot against him. His punts also got better with each one he kicked.

After halftime coach put him back in for the second half of the game. He continued to play strong. A few minutes before the game ended, coach took Brad out of GK and in as mid-field.

Sunday our game was against the same team we played last weekend while Rob was at the NASCAR race. Last weekend they beat us 4-3. It was a good game. Very close in terms of skill level - our boys really played hard. Everyone (especially Rob) was looking forward to this rematch.

Brad started as GK like normal.

He had one goal scored on him, which he couldn't have gotten anyway.  He played really hard and saved many shots from going in the goal.

He was truly fearless. He went up many times against one of their best players. This kid looked like he was about 15 compared to little B. There was a collision and B got the wind knocked out of him...but still saved it!

I guess this double-header is nice practice for the upcoming tournament in 2 weeks!
