I'm trying so hard to hold myself to my goals this year. It's so hard not to fall in to what most other people do...set great goals at the start of the year and by the Superbowl they've been thrown out the window. I do admit, I struggle!
So to {try} and hold myself accountable I am doing a monthly check in.
Health Goal Check:
As of the end of January I had walked 31.1 miles. This means I'm 9% to my goal of 365 miles by Dec 31st. I'm right on target! Week days are hard to walk for long distances right now. Brad's out of soccer so I don't have the ease of the wonderful track to walk during his practice. I try and get out 2-3 times during a lunch break to walk about a mile each. During weekends I'm walking between 3-4 miles both Saturday and Sunday. I didn't set a weight goal as I figured if I stay on track with the rest of my goals, the weight loss should fall in to place. I've lost about 4 pounds since the beginning of January. (yay!) Rob's doing great too. He's back to exercising after the holiday break. He'll go up to our community gym Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays and run. Then Thursday and Friday will do his Insanity workout in the garage.
I will admit we've been pretty bad the last few weeks with eating out. Both of our jobs are very crazy right now and by the time our day is over we just want to be lazy and eat out. But we're turning that around and getting back on track!
Create Goal:
So I'm working on the 365 Photo Project. I will admit that I've missed a few days. But holy moly is this hard! I work from home and quite honestly don't get out much. We have our routine and rarely does it vary...so it's hard to find interesting things to photograph. Just a warning...you may find I photograph some of the same things as the year passes! :) I'm working to think outside the box with my photos...
So there ya go! We're still working on the goals. They haven't been thrown out the window quite yet. We'll see how February goes!
