Kids Creations: DIY Toys

The other evening I found a very interesting site. It looks relatively new - but the idea behind the site & content so far is fantastic and unique. And to be honest, anything relating to spending time with your kids and creating is top notch in my book...for what it's worth!

The site is called Playful Factory. The site was built to help children design their own toys. Playful Factory has tutorials, give-a-ways, and projects. The site gives ideas and inspiration to kids.

One of the tutorials is a Cardboard Fort made out of triangle shipping tubes. (Ikea has these for free in front of the store in the loading area). Playful Factory gives step by step instructions on how to make this project (and several others) and gives photo examples throughout the process.

Spend a little time with your kid(s) this weekend and make something. Or even better, check out Playful Factory and their current projects. Currently the Playful Factory has Halloween Toys as the active toy project. Jump right in and help your children start designing their own toys.
