Dollar Craft: Cute Framed Initial

There are so many blogs out there that have a ton of cute ideas...that give me inspiration to add to my list of "want to do's." I absolutely love projects that can be given as gifts and are inexpensive!

I found this project on J&A and Co - a blog I recently found and fell in love with. It's great for teachers, co-workers, or would look adorable in a kids room or baby's nursery. And what's fabulous is it can be made for only a few bucks each!

What' you need:
  • Cheap Frames from your local dollar store
  • White card stock
  • Pretty, colorful scrapbook paper
  • Adhesive
  • Cricut or other die cutting machine (or hand cut)
  • paint (preferred spray paint)

Steps:
  1. Remove the glass and backing from your frame so it's only the frame
  2. Spray paint frame with desired color paint
  3. Cut the letter you want to use in the frame
  4. Cut white card stock to fit inside the frame
  5. Attach the letter to the white card stock
  6. Put the frame back together with the initial
I was lucky enough to have everything but the frame...so it only cost me $1.00 + tax. I also added a few mini clothespins covered in the same paper used for the initial.

I made this one for my mom - I always try out craft projects on here. I'm sure she stores all my "crafty crap" (as my husband lovingly calls it) in a box somewhere in the garage.

Here are some pictures of the process....
